Accelerated aging and characterization of HDPE pin type insulators (15 kV)

چکیده

The study of the behavior polymeric material used for insulators in electrical system is extremely important order to evaluate their lifetime as well performance when exposed different environmental conditions. In present work, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pin type (15 kV), under accelerated aging conditions, was studied. Samples were aging, 200 h, 1000 and 2000 weathering chambers, according two methods. Method 1, parameters established based on natural location 2, ASTM G155 standard used. All samples characterized by rheometry, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Methods 1 affected HDPE differently, changes being more intense 1.
